Everest Panorama Trek or Everest View Trek is a unique trekking experience in Nepal. The main highlight of this trek is the magnificent view of Mt. Everest (8848m) along with other mountains like Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8516m), Ama Dablam (6812m), and Thamserku (6623m).

Everest View Trek is a perfect and short adventure trekking for anyone who wants to experience the natural beauty of the Himalayas and the fantastic views of the Everest region. The trekking trail goes through the stunning highlands of the Everest region, which offers a breathtaking view of the nearby landscape.
The mesmerizing views of the Everest Region along the rhododendron forest and the following Dudhkoshi river make this trekking trip one of its kind. During the trekking, you walk through the remote areas of the Khumbu region, including Lukla, Chheplung, Phakding, Jorsalle, and finally to the beautiful town of Namche Bazaar, aka gateway to Everest.
Passing through diverse terrain, crossing several suspension bridges, one of which is the Hillary bridge over the Dudh Koshi river, before reaching Namche Bazar.
The Everest panorama view trek falls on the same route as the Everest base camp trek and other Everest region trekking routes.
The trekking journey of a week takes you to the altitude of 3880m. In addition, the 7-day hiking trip of Everest trekking takes you through the cultural and traditional beauty of the region’s indigenous people – Sherpas and their monasteries.
Start and End of Everest Panorama Trek
The trek starts from Kathmandu when you board an early morning domestic flight towards Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla. The scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu airport provides a fantastic view of the Himalayan range.
After landing at one of the world’s most dangerous airports, you start walking towards the day’s destination. During the trek, you enjoy nature, its fresh breeze, up-close view of the Himalayas in the Khumbu region.
The trek ends after exploring the beautiful Namche Bazaar and the nearby surroundings. You will visit the oldest monasteries of the region and the beauty it is surrounded by, experiencing the Buddhist culture and tradition of the local Sherpa people.
What can I expect during Everest Panorama Trek?
The trek does not require an athletic physique as no steep climbs are involved, but you should be physically fit enough to walk the hills.
The highlands of the Everest Region is a gorgeous place to hike. It offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and is one of the best places in the Himalayas to catch your breath.
Descending the trail following the Dudh Koshi river is a great way to see the incredible scenery of this part of the Himalayas. A suspension bridge over the white water and the trek up the rocky trail to Tengboche Monastery is a lifetime memory.
Tengboche Monastery is the highest monastery in the world, where famous prayer flags fly all year round. There are also many other monasteries around the region.
Best Time for Everest view trek
The best time to enjoy this Everest trekking package is during the Spring (February to June), Autumn (September and November). Of course, hiking is possible during the winter and monsoon season, but the weather condition is favorable for everyone due to the fogs and cloudy weather.
Food during the trek
Tea Houses on the route offer Foods of choices where you can pick your food based on the menu, but most trekkers prefer Nepali dishes. However, you can choose any food available from the menu. We advise not to consume meat products as the refrigeration in the Himalayas is not well kept.

Everest Panaroma view trek Itinerary
Day 1 : Arriving at the capital- Kathmandu (1400m)
After you land in Kathmandu, one of our representatives will pick you up from the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). They will be helping you get to your hotel and also give you the details about the trekking and schedules. You can rest or explore the beautiful city of temples – Kathmandu, during your first day.
Day 2 : Fly to Lukla (2840) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m) Trip Duration: 03-04 hrs
On the second day of our Everest trekking, we take an early morning flight of 35 minutes to Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla. Again, you meet your team, guide, and porters helping you through the trek.
Lukla to Phakding trek starts with a gradual descent till Phakding via Chheplung and Ghat village. Then, we will trek following a gentle climb up the mountainside of the Dudh Koshi. The trekking distance is 8.2 kilometers, and the time taken by most travelers is about 3.5 hours, but some might take a bit more time than that. After this short trek, we will reach Phakding in the late afternoon, where we will be resting for the day.
Day 3 : Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m) Trip Duration: 06-07 hrs
Today, on the 3rd day of the Everest short trek, after having breakfast at Phakding, we will begin our trek to Namche Bazar. It is an exciting part of the whole trek. This trek will take you through two famous glacial rivers -Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi. You will also see the incredible snow-capped mountains Kusum Kangaroo (6369 m) and Thamserku (6623 m). Finally, through pine forests, crossing suspension bridges, and several Sherpa villages, you will enjoy the scenic and cultural beauty of this region.
After trekking for some time, we will reach the junction of the Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi river. From here, we will continue our trek and encounter excellent views of Everest (8848 m) and Lhotse (8516 m), finally reaching Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is surrounded from 3 sides by mountain ranges and is a central hub of the area for food, trekking gear, and other essential items.
Day 4 : Exploring Namche Bazar and nearby places
On day 4 of our Everest trekking, we will be exploring Namche Bazar and the nearby places. Cyber cafes, restaurants, people over there, and their culture and traditions, provide us with enough options to enjoy the great town of Namche Bazar. After finishing exploring the town, we still have many places to visit.
Sherpa culture museum lets us understand the culture and traditions of the Sherpas extensively. Other places to visit are the Sagarmatha National Park museum, Namche monastery, and Tenzing Norgay Memorial museum.
During your one-day stay at Namche Bazar, the sunrise view over the Himalayas is a significant point of attraction. To view the sunrise, take a short hike to Sagarmatha National Park, and the sunrise over the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and so on, can be admired with great awe.
We will enjoy the traditional Sherpa meal and dive deeper into their lifestyle at night. A good night’s sleep is now all left for this day.
Day 5 : Travelling back to Lukla (2,840m) Trip Duration: 06-07 hrs
On day 5 of our Everest short trek, we will be heading back to Lukla, following the same trail we used to get to Namche Bazar. Through Phakding exploring the natural beauty one more time, we will trace our way back. You will admire the trek route’s pine forests, suspension bridges, and the confluence of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi. After reaching Lukla, you can clean yourself and all the tiredness of the trek with a hot bath. After that, we will enjoy the meal and stay a night in Lukla.
Day 6 : Lukla to Kathmandu Trip Duration: 35 minutes flight
After a good breakfast, we will be boarding an early flight back to Kathmandu. With all the beautiful memories of the mountains and the whole trip, we will be back in the capital in 35 minutes. So you can rest during the day and enjoy the beautiful nightlife of Thamel.
Day 7 : Departure
Today is the last day of our Everest trekking, and with all the good memories and beautiful experiences of the Everest View Trekking, we will share goodbyes and wish you a safe flight back home.
