How long is the trek to Annapurna Base Camp?

The Annapurna Base Camp trek usually takes 7 to 10 trekking days. The exact length depends on your trailhead and route. Adding Ghorepani and Poon Hill often makes the trek longer. Slower plans can take 10 to 12 trekking days.

Full Nepal packages are often longer still. They can include Kathmandu, Pokhara, road travel, and arrival days. Annapurna Base Camp stands at 4,130 m. That height makes a very fast trip a poor choice for most people.

Above 3,000 m, the CDC advises a gradual rise in sleeping height. Extra time also helps the body adjust to thinner air. For most trekkers, 7 to 10 days is a useful range. It gives enough time for walking, rest, and safer altitude gain without turning the route into a rushed race.
