A lot of people often speak about Namche Bajar. But, Namje happens to be one of the top 12 best places that you should be as per CNN’s list. It is not only about the best geographical location, but you get to see views of Mt. Makalu, along with the world’s highest peak – Mt. Everest.

Itineraries

  • Day 1 : Fly to Biratnagar and Travel to Namje

    On this day you have your breakfast and then take the first flight to Biratnagar, the province capital. You then drive towards north coming across places like Duhabi, Itahari and Dharan. It is okay to halt for a couple of hours at Dharan and make visits to places around. Budasubba and Dantakali are a holy place of Hindu to be around.

    We then drive uphill till we reach Bhedetar. Bhedetar is usually a foggy place, with chilling weather. As we will have to visit this place the next day, we head east till we make it to Namje – our destination. Overnight at Namje.


  • Day 2 : Visit around Namje and boat at Raja Rani Lake

    We wake up early in the morning and observe the sunrise and beautiful mountain views. We then walk around the village until we have breakfast. After breakfast, we head further east towards Raja Rani Lake. This would be a bliss for your eyes to see a beautiful lake surrounded by hills. Spending some time there, we return to Namje.

    Local drinks and local foods of Namje will be served to you as dinner.


  • Day 3 : Namje to Mulghat

    Having breakfast, we trek a longer this day. We depart from Namje and head towards Bhedetar. This is a popular tourist destination with a small market around. You can make visit Charles tower here. After that you continue your trek downwards till you reach entry point to Namaste Waterfall.

    Namaste Waterfall is an amazing place where you can observe the natural flow of water with bliss. You continue your trek for half an hour further and reach Mulghat. We can see cultural programs at Mulghat upon our wish. Overnight at Mulghat.


  • Day 4 : Raft to Barahachetra and drive to Dharan

    After having breakfast at Mulghat, we start our adventure-filled day through rafting. We raft for around five hours until we reach Barahakshetra. During raft, we get to see small villages far above. We stop our rafting upon reaching Barahakshetra.

    Meanwhile, we spend some time at Barahkshetra observing Hindu’s holy place. We then make a visit around this remote village of Terai on the way as well. Driving for around an hour we reach Dharan. Overnight at Dharan’s lodge.


  • Day 5 : Drive to Biratnagar and fly back to Kathmandu

    We get fresh and make a short visit to Dharan. Heading towards the Airport, we might want to visit this second largest city of Nepal too. You can visit Kali Mandir. And you head towards Airport taking the next 45 minutes of flight to Kathmandu.
